Nevada Copper Corp NEVDQ

Nevada Copper Corp is a Canada-based mining company. The Company is engaged in the development, operation, and exploration of its copper project (the Project) at its Pumpkin Hollow Property (the Property) in Western Nevada, United States of America. Its two fully permitted projects include the high-grade Underground Mine and processing facility, which is undergoing a restart of operations, and a large-scale open pit PFS stage project. The Property is located in northwestern Nevada and consists of approximately 24,300 acres of contiguous mineral rights including approximately 10,800 acres of owned private land and leased patented claims. Pumpkin Hollow is located approximately 8 miles southeast of the small town of Yerington, Nevada in Lyon County, one- and one-half hours drive southeast of Reno. My belief is that Pala wants a sale (aka change of control) but could not work out a deal.  We know their breakeven is high ($0.70 if I recall).  The thing is, Pala is not negotiating in a position of strength.  There are swimming with sharks and no one is going to bite without a major deal.  


Hence Chapter 11 is a tactical move to protect their equity from a bad deal.  Things will be restructured but mostly dilution. They also need leadership change to attract capital.

A wise mining investor once was asked if they'd rather a bad deposit or a bad management team.  They said "although a bad management team can ruin a good deposit you can't change the geography but you can always change management."
