The US' Russian Uranium Import Ban & TCEC.c The Biden Administration recently signed the Prohibiting Russian Uranium Imports Act into law which bans the importation of Russian uranium to eliminate U.S. reliance on Russian uranium fuel and promote domestic nuclear fuel production. Additionally, the US, Canada and other allies committed $4.2 billion to establish a resilient global uranium supply market, free from Russian influence.

This significant financial commitment and the ban could benefit Canadian uranium explorers, such as Tisdale Clean Energy Corp. (TCEC.c or TCEFF for US investors), by fostering a stronger Western uranium supply. TCEC recently completed its initial drilling at the South Falcon East Uranium Project, located strategically near the Athabasca Basin and the Key Lake Uranium Mill.
TCEC's comprehensive 2024 drilling program, covering 1500 meters over two phases, is primarily focused on confirming existing mineralization to enhance the project's resource potential.
The first drill hole revealed multiple uranium-rich zones over a depth of 13.5 meters, with significant results such as 0.03% eU3O8 over 4.1 meters, including a peak of 0.11% eU3O8 over 0.2 meters. These findings underscore the potential for continued mineralization within the project area.
The second drill hole, which aimed to extend mineralization from a historical source, identified several mineralized zones below 132 meters, with notable results like 0.02% U3O8 over 1.3 meters, suggesting the possibility of further expansion.
These successful drilling results not only confirm the presence of mineralized pegmatites and paragneiss but also provide a strong foundation for future exploration activities aimed at discovering additional mineralization opportunities.
Samples from the mineralized intervals are currently undergoing detailed analysis and the company plans to resume drilling later this spring, maintaining an optimistic outlook for uncovering further mineralization potential within the South Falcon East Project. The project is supported by a historical inferred mineral resource of 6.9 Mlbs U3O8, indicating significant exploration potential.
