How did this company completely miss AI?

How did this company completely miss AI?the undisputed chip leader for decades! just recently announced an AI chip, any good? can it compete with NVDA and others who are years ahead? Interesting that their announcement didnt increase their market cap one bit, Apple mentioned getting into AI yesterday and market cap up $600B in two days and haven't sold anything yet.
