Nano One Materials Corp T.NANO

Alternate Symbol(s):  NNOMF

Nano One Materials Corp. is a clean technology company with a patented, scalable and low-carbon intensity industrial process for the low-cost production of high-performance lithium-ion battery cathode materials. It specializes in the production of low-cost, high-performance cathode active materials for lithium-ion batteries. Its technology is applicable to electric vehicles, energy storage, and consumer electronics, reducing costs and carbon intensity while improving environmental impact. Its patented One-Pot process is engineered to make cathode materials directly from non-sulfate forms of battery metals. Its Metal to Cathode Active Material (M2CAM) Technology enables sulfate-free metal powder inputs which eliminates 100% of wasteful sodium sulfate by-products while simplifying manufacturing. The One-Pot process simplifies production and enables its M2CAM technology. Its simplified One-Pot process enables cathodes to form simultaneously with their protective coating at the nano level.

Wow Andy T posts damning critique of LFP prospects in NA

Wow Andy T posts damning critique of LFP prospects in NA
Andy Turudic (Technology Editor Electronic Design Magazine) really digs in deep against LFP prospects for NA for both mobile and stationary applications.

Andy:
For mobility, LFP sucks for weight and power delivery as compared to NMC. For stationary, it's too expensive as compared to other battery tech.

Which is why the massive price cut - it's the death rattle that the Chinese are renowned for in each pursuit of tech.

Steve LeVine:
Andy this is old information. The BNEF report actually forecasts that LFP dominates commercial EVs--big semi trucks, etc--as well as passenger vehicles. The latest LFP out of CATL fast charges a couple of hundred miles in 10 minutes.

Andy:
Dominates in places where corruption betters common sense. In America, every ounce of battery in a semi translates to a loss of operator revenue.

This is why Tesla Semi is not shipping. They can get, er, "truckloads" of LFP that nobody wants, though.

Fast charging is irrelevant to the discussion. Power delivery can't be fixed, nor can the energy density.

LFP is artificially cheap...because it's desperate.
