A mental breakdown? Moi?...LOL, I don't think so. Inthe last forty years we've had exactly the same amount of time under Conservative and Liberal governments in this country. If the next one is a conservative government nothing will change much....Peter Rabbit won't shut TMX down, he won't cancel the CCB or all the other issues this Liberal government has made progress on.
Diefenbaker, although he campaigned on shutting down the Trans Canada Pipeline could not do it because it was "too far along"... Mulroney left with even WORSE approval numbers than Trudeau has right now...Harper campaigned on reducing deficits and the debt and both went quickly in the other direction....
I'm not a "diehard Trudoite"....I just have not been offered a compelling alternative to get exicited about.
All the vague "bring it homes", promises of "powerful paycheques", "cheap houses" and the like don't do anything for me. Only very naive individuals would believe that we can cut taxes across the board, increase defense spending , not cut services and benefits AND eliminate deficits and reduce the debt as he promises. He might as well tell you he's going to turn lead into gold.
I survived ten years of Harper...I can handle a few years of Peter Rabbit....I'll cringe some like I did under Harper....but I sure as heck won't set my hair on fire...rant and rave all day, every day like you do, Noble. I'll be fine, you don't have to worry about me. :)
