Whitecap Resources Inc. is an oil-weighted growth company. The Company is engaged in the business of acquiring, developing and holding interests in petroleum and natural gas properties and assets. Its core areas include the West Division and East Division. Its West Division is comprised of three regions: Smoky, Kaybob and Peace River Arch (PRA). The properties in its Smoky region include Kakwa and Resthaven, all located in Northwest Alberta. The primary reservoir being developed is the Montney resource play, mainly comprised of condensate-rich natural gas. Kaybob is located in the Fox Creek region of Northwest Alberta. The primary reservoir being developed is the Duvernay resource play, mainly comprised of condensate-rich natural gas. The PRA is its original asset area. Its East Division is comprised of four regions: Central AB, West Sask, East Sask and Weyburn. Its Central Alberta region represents the bulk of its Cardium and liquids-rich Mannville assets.

RE:RE:RE:Analyst RecommendationYep.  This company is not like Nvidia in that we have no clue what the growth will be like.  We know almost exactly what production will be many years forward . There will no doubling of profit anytime soon. So why would anyone pay 50% more for this stock ?  Other than buybacks and debt reduction , there is no unknown catalyst . That goes for all oil and gas stocks . The dividend holds us at a certain level and thats it . If it were lowered or eliminated , watch out below.  So for a lot of investors there is only downside risk. Theyve been burned way too often in this industry.  My prediction is the stock will rise with the inflation rate . So how long does it take to gain $5 at 3% inflation ?  A long time.  I hope I'm wrong. One catalyst may be to get rid of this economy sucking government . We have the lowest productivity of any G7 country due to their treatment of entrepreneurs as greedy villians .
