Yes. The big spreads between bid and ask might be a tug of war between those trying to redeem stock options for as much as they can to at least get some of what they were paid and those trying to drive the price down so they can buy a big position for as next to nothing as possible. Although the price swings are big, the volume bought and sold in a given day remains tiny.
