So you would have kept the manufacturing tax back then??? The GST replaced the manufacturing tax that was considered anti-productive and made our exports more expensive....
I guess you would have also kept inheritance taxes back in 1972 that were eliminated and replaced by capital gains taxes. What a wonderful world it would be if there were NO taxes at all, eh? Dream on!
