RE:Puzzling?I have no problem with the Walkers support of the company. Rick founded the company in 1995 so his level of committment is pretty clear. He holds a huge amount of shares. Trevor is CEO and the deal with Mitsubishi is a major accomplishment. Trevor is also a major shareholder. This has been a long term project and it has taken svera decades to get to this point. Everything is coming together pretty nicely in terms of EV and battery manufacturing hub in Ontario and clear need for NA supply chain for the minerals.
Trevor has stated for years that the goal of FL is to build a mine and produce lithium chemicals while retaining control and continuing as a canadian company. But very few junior resource explorers have a shot at building a mine. They just hope to find a big resource and entice a mining major to buy them and develop the mine. To build a mine you need 1. a great resource, 2. ready access to capital, and 3. mining expertise. For FL, the resource is large and pure, has great width and little over burden and it suitable for open pit mining.(check #1) The Mitsubishi deal gives them a path to needed capital. (check #2) AND Rick Walker has been the owner/operator of Consbec Inc. since 1975. Consbec is the largest surface drilling and blasting contractor in North America and the only private Canadian company who manufactures and transports bulk explosives. Mr. Walker has extensive experience in open pit mining, quarry and construction. Mr. Walker’s open pit experience involves pit design, government regulatory requirements, high tonnage production, dilution, wall and drainage control. (check #3).
Anyway if you put this all in perspective it is a little silly to think that management and especially the Walkers do not see good value here. They are working to achieve great value (by building a mine and chemical production facilities) at a level that is simply not possible for many junior explorers.
