By the sounds of it, original shareholders won't be getting anything unless some other company comes in with a bid high enough to cover all the debt plus pay out shareholders. Most likely SNDL will win with its stalking horse bid and steal the company for cents on the dollar. It's really sad shareholders were made to believe everything was fine and they were looking for ways to "maximize shareholder value", only to then pull the rug out and go into creditor protection essentially doing the exact opposite amd erasing all shareholder value.
