Interesting article on EarthGrid, take a look at the pictures of the plasma boring machine and compare these with the pictures from EarthGrid's patent (see below).

Pay attention to Fig 2 (from the patent link above^^):

Note the patent which @helloween references below clearly shows a non-transferred Arc Plasma Torch (APT) from PyroGenesis (small typo in the patent) is used.

It doesn't get much clearer than this:

@helloween From Earthgrid website : "The tunnel and trenching machines will use torches powered by plasma created from electricity and **AIRFLOW**." From PYR NR : "deliver five (5) high power 2MW **AIR** plasma torch systems for an aggregate price of approximately US$13 million"

@helloween From Earthgrid 2021 patent application for a tunnel boring system (WO2022154911A1) which is different from the patent owned by Arcbyt filed in 2018 (WO2020101666A1) : "[0042] Figure 2 is a side view of one embodiment of the tunnel boring system. The cutting head 210 is attached to the cutting assembly 220. The cutting head 210 includes torches and nozzles for a stream of air and/or water, to assist with the boring. The power, and air/water are fed to cutting assembly 220 via umbilicals 245. In one embodiment, a non-transferred Arc Plasma Torch (APT) from PYPROGENSIS™ is used."

And this is just one division/business line within PyroGenesis. Definitely lots going on behind the scenes at PYR. Just need to be patient.

Guys like Troy don't come along every day and not his first rodeo but he goes out on a limb to say how much of a game changer this will be. He's pretty succinct in his plans and execution with permits in hand.
PYR will be supplying a dozen or so torches short term and this association could be a marriage made in heaven.PYR to have a master agreement in place awaiting SOW.

Well the horse is in the gate and every barn only needs one Secretariat. I'm excited to watch this unfold
