YESTERDAY

YESTERDAYI dont see the utilities ETF XUT, markets, bonds, or vnq do anything but be flatt-ish in fridays trading, and yet every canadian reit is down 1% at least with some as up to 3% (prv got spanked), capping a 11 day route that saw HR dive 15% and others.

I do think its the capital gains tax as I saw an instagram post when it happened suggesting thered be a rush of sellers. Now just because some names are down and dont have any "capital gains", the MM and shorts just did a en-carte full stop short of the entire sector because the algos are tied, so it isnt necessarily "selling pressure" but the shorts taking the market down to force those that want the capital gains rate deadline to flip their shares cheaper.

dont be giddy if artis hasnt fully bended over yet, I notice all my reits going in that direction and they dont always h appen on the same day!
