Using SGD MRE Ounces Applied to High grade zones of NFG Very simple calculations .
SGD ...297 million tons of drill defined open pit rock containing 7.3 m ounces.
Average grade is 1.45 grams per ton above the cutoff of 0.4 grams per ton
Elementray calculations show that 7.3 m ounces computes to 230 tons of gold .
The gold concentration factor ...% of gold contained by volume of ore drilled .....is 230 tons divided by 297 m tons which is about 0.8% .
Recall that 3.5% of over 300,000 meters of core drilled in the 5 zones now being deep drilled in Queensway contained gold at a grade above 1 gram per ton
Applied to 297 million tons within the drill defined Snowline pit measuring 400 m by 750 m , and the gold content would have been about 1050 tons of gold or about 28 million ounces .
This shows just how important grade is .
With an average grade well above 10 grams in these 5 shallow zones of Queensway , and containing 28 million ounces by Snowline proxy estimates, is it any wonder why the NFG Queensway might be another Abitibi
