However, let's not pretend that Mithaq was playing within the rules to build their position. And it's interesting to note that many more "outsider" votes were cast for current management than for Mithaq. i.e. if you subtract the Paladin+PP+insider votes from Aimia's total then you get a number much larger than if you subtract Mithaq's votes from the dissident total. I was really surprised by that outcome.
I guess we'll now see if this team can surface any value for anyone other than themselves when they can no longer hide behind the excuse of "shareholder activism". It would sure be nice to see some of today's volume being due to insider purchases but I know better than to expect that.
