Though Eurobank was granted leave to appeal to the SCC in March 2023,  the majority of the SCC dismissed the appeal in April 2024....The majority of the SCC agreed with the trial judge and the majority of the Quebec Court of Appeal, who both expressly opted out to give no weight to the decisions of the Greek courts (see paras. 102, 104). The decisive factor for SCC’s majority “was the conclusion of the foreign courts that a party can disregard an order of an arbitral tribunal to which it has agreed to be subject” (para. 107)....''
