RE:RE:Boeing Spirit not a easy deal

RE:RE:Boeing Spirit not a easy dealWow what a large MESS spirit is?

IMHO, Bombardier shouldn't even entertain walking into that Belfast scenario again. Remember that the size of employees there is huge, to take on even half of the 3500 employees. Plus the pension liabilities, and the headache with the Irish unions there. Bombardier should know that first hand. Before agreeing to purchase even a portion (60%) of Belfast, I would think 10 times, before thinking of pulling the trigger. The problem there is, is that Belfast is a money pit, and someone else such as Safran, can take the headache. As for Morocco? I think Airbus just took it so that they could steal from Bombardier again, if for some stupid reason, the Bomber is still interested in purchasing Morocco. We have to watch our step here as a company, heading into Investment Grade, because this could cause a real financial disruption to that route. Even if we get a huge discount from Spirit, the writting is on the wall that Belfast is a MESS, and we spent 5 years from 2015 to 2021 getting out of those bad divisions.

If we have a contract with Spirit that's iron-clad for them to provide parts for us for the next 10 years? Then, let Spirit deal with the problem, or whoever buys the the 60% of Belfast. I would stay far away from getting involved with Airbus even if it is just in parts manufacturing. As this article just said in stock4's post, "that Airbus likes taking deals for nothing" like they did to us, with the CSeries. If Airbus stuck their foot in the Belfast Mess then they are responsible for their actions, not us. IMO this is a hot potato, and we can't play catch with it with Airbus. We know how Airbus negotiates.
