RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Boeing Spirit not a easy dealThis is what I'm talking about. Thank you Heyou for your post. Finally some decent discussions.

Short Bros has been around from I believe 1928. Every piece of equipment needs to change there, or else it's labour intensive. So machanize it will cost. Btw we can't buy all of Shorts, Airbus has the CSeries half. If Spirit is willing to give us or pay us $250M to $300M for the other half, then we can use the cash to mechanize that half of the business? Then, it's possible we can bring the plant up to date. I would guess that we can't get rid of too many of those employees, because those unions will be up in arms. But the fact to the matter is that if we mechanize the plants or even modernize the buildings they split from the Airbus portfolio, then we may NOT need all those employees. If we can get rid of some of those unionized employees, then it could be cost effective to acquire. We'll see what transpires. It could work!!!! There is always ways to make things work if the desire is there. It has to to be thought through very well though. We can't have missteps now, or else we're going to hold our shares till 2050.

Heyooo wrote: The Belfast workforce working on your mentioned legacy bombardier aircraft are some of the most skilled you'l find, no money spent on processes or methods for years and the processes used to build them currently are stone age compared to most aircraft now, the workforce currently building them have found a way but trust me when I say you won't just be able to move this stuff anywhere at any rate it will need a hugely skilled workforce with experience which bombardier or any other aerospace company for that matter don't currently have anywhere else, be careful what you wish for.
