yep - nominated by Obama to the board of Governors in 2012, but promoted to chairman by DJTrump in 2018. A member of the Republican Party.
Good to have fact checks going forward DZ !
Trollish buffoonery doesn't have to define this BB.
Im not sure if this was directed towards me but clearly you didn't read my post carefully. Let me repeat.
J Powell is on board until May 2026 and is serving 4 more years since he was elected to power again in May 2022. Jerome Powell is serving his second 4 year term.
Christopher Wallen, who is a Republican could very well replace J Powell as the next Fed Chair.
Donald Trump cannot forcefully remove J Powell from office even if he wanted to. It's like trying to get rid of Justin Trudeau or Joe Biden. It's very difficult even though they are both incompetent.
Two of the current members of the Fed Board of Governors were initially appointed by Donald Trump (Bowman and Waller). Powell was originally appointed to the Board by Barack Obama in 2012 and was first named chair by Donald Trump. Powell’s term as chair expires in May 2026, and Michael Barr’s term as vice chair ends in July 2026. Philip Jefferson’s four-year term as vice chair expires in September 2027.
