Which equates to the equivalent of about 60,000 gallons of cyanide (~ 200 gallons per m3).  A significant amount but not the 27 million gallons someone reported the day of the slide.

Can 60,000 gallons of cyanide be effectively managed? Probably if the right things are done at the right time.  VG needs to stay on site and do all they can to limit the environmental effects of this because from the sounds of it the Yukon Government and / or FN sure don't have the equipments or human resoucres to contain and manage this!  Be interesting to see if the Yukon Government is going to pony up some funds to help Victoria Gold stay on site becuase they don't have the funds to be doing this for months with their balance sheet.
