Then anything they deliver is a pleasant surprise? I'm sure folks would be very dissatisfied with that approach also. Then add in the seeming struggles with financial viability. Public companies need promotion, even when the timelines don't pan out, so it's kind of a lose-lose unless they can deliver something truly impactful? Stay silent, stock goes down. Make projections that often don't come to fruition, stock goes down.
