The Eagle West target area lies as close as 500 meters northwest of the main Eagle Gold Deposit and hosts the exposures of the granodiorite. RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:NOT GOOD!If you look at the photo from this website, it looks to me like all the liner pads (dark grey) are hanging down the side of the upper slope above the slip. If I understand this photo correctly, there is no doubt that the liner pads are severely damaged.

Have I got this right?

Time will tell but my guess is the folks at VG are already very aware of what caused this slide.

I also think the containment berm at the base will be built much higher than the first one, as lessons have been learned, and I find it hard to believe this mine wont operate again, as the mast majority of the mines infrastructure was untouched by the slide.  The slide followed the pre constructed containment valley leading to an event pond, so there was some forthought for leach containment in the event of a pad failure.

Might not be VG as the operator, but thars gold in them there hills.....................and if a business opportunity arose that included a overall percentage stake given to FNNN for their troubles, I'm betting the overall sky is falling tone would change in a hurry.
