Wyoming Is The Home of the new TerraPower Natrium Reactor!Wyoming is the state with the highest uranium reserves in the United States. Once having had a ban on the use of nuclear energy, their forward thinking politicians lifted this moratorium and proceeded to begin the phase out of coal as their main means to produce energy in their state. The times were changing!
And so it was very timely to make this environmentally friendly move when climate change had already begun, so noticably, impacting the world in such a negative way!
This newly designed modular reactor hopes to meet this challenge by producing nuclear energy and storing it to maximize its usefulness in meeting the varying needs of the energy grid.
Clearly, the nuclear means of creating and supplying energy is much superior to solar farms or wind turbines which may be able to create energy on an intermittent basis and whose total value to the grid depends upon the consistently available amounts of wind or solar energy.
And this newly designed Natrium modular design also provides for some storage capacity to deliver its energy as needed to the grid! This kind of energy source doesn't need to be dumped into the grid immediately after it is created. Other forms of energy sources having no a battery back-up, offer no such option!
When natural gas production facilities are over producing, some of these facilities may need to be cut back in operation when not needed by the grid or simply shut down to maintain their efficiency and cost effectiveness.
Wind turbines only produce energy when the wind blows. Solar panels only produce energy when the sun shines during the day. And both of these forms of low carbon footprint energy production would require some significant battery back-up to store any of their energy at all!
And batteries come with their own particular environmental concerns and may not be always be reliable to operate for storage. Sometimes they fail!
In China, solar panel farms are very prolific in use. And they are very cheap to build over there with a cheaply paid labour force on a scale that could never exist in America. And just like their electric vehicles, the export of their inexpensive solar panels from China into America will never be allowed!
Trade barriers wil hamper such a dumping move by them! Future Democratic or Republican regimes will make certain of this! In the US and well as in many other Western nations, the value that the labour force offers to their societies, really matters the most!
Competition may be important in the world of trade. But workers do need to be properly financially compensated for their working endeavours.
In the West, this is now the case! But not always in China. To those governing authorities their workers do matter less!
No trade unions that protect workers rights exist over there. And many poor souls there have also become enslaved by these cruelest of task masters!
China is not a country that needs to be rewarded for poor wages, excessive government subsidies or for the encouragement of slavery!
In America, that bad practice was put to an end ages ago after a civil war had been fought to settle the matter, once and for all!
This particular modular nuclear reactor runs continously and has a built-in system of storage that is a part of its very unique type of design.
Furthermore, perhaps even more important to a tinier community making the transition from dirtier coal to zero carbon producing nuclear energy was the fact that such a reactor, although amazingly safe in operation, still requires about 100 workers to operate the facility. That made the phase out from coal an even more acceptable compromise when so many other coal related jobs were about to be lost!
Remember in the West, jobs really do matter! In a democracy, the people do have a say!
https://www.gatesnotes.com/Wyoming-TerraPower-groundbreaking For Bill Gates who provided the initial financial backing for this project, the immediate goal for such a reactor was not just the replacement of dirty coal but also to provide an energy source that should be able to compete effectively with natural gas in the production of energy to meet all the demands of the grid!
Natural gas is a much cleaner fuel source than oil or coal. But it is not as perfect as nuclear energy with the latter's zero impact on the environment, once it is safely used!
Rush Rare Metals will retain 25% ownership of Myriad Uranium's Copper Mountain Wyoming project once that company has completed its exploratory committment to this partnership team!
25% of such a large project is no small amount of ownership of a very valuable resource. The total sum of their parts may come to amount to a good percentage of the biggest reserves of uranium in the entire United States!
Myriad's Copper Mountain project could become a huge part of what remains to be mined in the entire state of Wyoming!
That exploration project now has barely gotten started! And huge amounts of historical data will provide significant direction for these companies in their future exploration efforts!
That's a major 'heads up' that many other companies would envy and would also want to have for themselves.
These two companies are bound to become much bigger in size as they both create greater value for their shareholders by meeting the fuel needs for a growing American nuclear energy program.
Uranium is a good clean, locally sourced fuel and now it's environmentally friendly!
Such an investment in uranium exploration may not provide as great an immediate reward as investing in the most successful of the tech giants or the AI software creators has done in the recent past.
But longer term, this kind of exploration will certainly help supply the heavy energy needs that both components of this new industrial society are about to demand from the grid!
And such an good exploratory prospects are easier to find. Why not start in a most obvious place like Wyoming where the greatest American uranium resources will be found!
Picking the right AI software company in which to invest is perhaps a much more problematic adventure or gamble to make!
And the tech giants are now very richly priced as stocks. They're not cheap to buy!
The transition to a low carbon footprint energy source consists of many components. But one of the best sources of energy is about to become nuclear, as their newer designs, become more efficient and safer to operate now and into the future.
This has now begun in earnest and it will never end!
All the best! Java
