Veren Inc. is a Canada-based oil producer with assets in central Alberta and southeast and southwest Saskatchewan. The principal activities of the Company are acquiring, developing and holding interests in petroleum and natural gas properties and assets related thereto through a general partnership and wholly owned subsidiaries. Its core operational areas include Kaybob Duvernay and Alberta Montney, Shaunavon and Viewfield Bakken. Its Kaybob Duvernay is situated in the heart of the condensate rich fairway, Central Alberta, which provides low risk drilling inventory. Its Alberta Montney assets sit adjacent to its Kaybob Duvernay lands, possessing similar resource characteristics including pay thickness and permeability in the volatile oil fairway of the reservoir. Its Shaunavon resource play is located in southwest Saskatchewan. The Viewfield Bakken light oil pool is located in Saskatchewan.

I have tended to view commodities or financial trends and follow my nose where there seems to be growth, then pick out a particular stock that shows superior potential. In this way I have followed gold once, steel another, natural gas when that was hot. Right now experts I've read seem to think oil is going to be good this year and the years ahead. I like the idea of a good dividend, and so I held ENCL paying 17% until I felt it might be unsustainable. So, I picked out this stock with a wee dividend. But it does promise a pretty nice capital gain. That's how I've come to follow this stock, and I'm hoping for the best. So far I've been able to trade up a bit already since VRN tends to be fairly volatile compared to e.g. WCP. But everyone, do your own due dilligence, right? GLTA
