AERO Reports Major Radioactivity Discovery at Murmac Project Aero Energy Ltd. (Ticker: AERO.v or AAUGF for US investors) is making notable progress with its uranium exploration in Saskatchewan's Athabasca Basin and the historic Uranium City district.
AERO recently reported encountering significant radioactivity in the second drill hole of its 2024 exploration drilling campaign at the Murmac Project.
A handheld RS-125 Spectrometer recorded an average of 1,309 counts per second over 8.7 meters in graphitic pelite, with peak readings reaching 33,600 counts per second, indicating visible uranium mineralization.
Drilling operations at Murmac continue, with the drill core currently logged to a depth of 94.5 meters. The pronounced radioactivity is mainly found in structured graphitic pelite, situated just below the contact with hematized quartzite, approximately 70 to 78 meters below the surface.
AERO is preparing additional follow-up drill holes to further explore the high-radioactivity zone. The company has sanctioned 11 high-priority drilling targets at Murmac, with several more under evaluation.
Systematic drill core sample collection is in progress, and all samples will be sent to SRC Geoanalytical Laboratories in Saskatoon for UO assay and multi-element analysis.
