I thought that, when Unifor, the unions heads recomended the offer in the morning last week, that it was a done deal. This scenario is the same as last week tomorrow. Hope this membership wants to negotiate fairly, so we can finish this stupidity.

I am optimistic that it will be ratified.  Two weeks of lost income will have impact on members.  Longer strike will only put them in bigger financial hole.

However bombardier can go another week or so before strike makes significant impact on work flow. Summer vacation work  scheduling usually looks at 3 to 4 weeks of low productivity.

So your opinion is that Bombardier should put the screws to its own employees by playing hardball? This is how you end up with the Boeing Culture. Just my opinion.

Wrong.  Boeing has issues with Quality control and reporting system and retaliation.  It has nothing to do with bargaining.   When did you hear about bombardier quality issues or retaliation at bombardier.  Any whistle blowers at Downsview/Pearson?

The union tentatively agreed to a deal, and members rejected it.  Its the union screwing with its members not bombardier.
