Wildfires have forces Cenovus to evacuate its Sunrise operation north of Fort McMurray, with only essential staff remaining. Last week, wildfires forces Suncor to evacuate its Firebag operation.
“As a precaution, we are demobilizing those staff who are not directly involved in operations from our Sunrise site,” said a Cenovus spokesperson in a brief statement. “However, operations remain unaffected.”
