I would also say with the labour shortages no one works for minimum wage compared to say 30 years ago.  I worked plenty of minimum wage jobs 30 years ago and the policy was shut up and if you don't like it there's the door.  Not true today

I have to think wages are cheaper in savannah Georgia than Toronto and Montreal but I have no idea

I was in Georgia years ago , picking a sports car , and yes wages were much lower than Montreal ... the owner ( contractor) was paying his workers $9 per hour to install " O-G " . His personal home had 28 windows just on the facad with 4 car garage on the side ... his buddy told me it was worth $500 K , I told him back home it would cost $4 Million at least ... I saved $40 K on the sports car , which couldn't be found in a 250 km radius ... that was in MACON Georgia .. GLTA
