Worker safety must always be number one on any list.
I would have thought that with Russell's experience they would have thought of all contingencies.
Backups everywhere in all serious responsible positions.
In every responsible job I had, we always had someone to step right in, in the event someone quit or was gone for whatever reason.
Everyone is replaceable was the rule of the day and should still be.
The mine is in Timmins and there are open pit as well as underground mines as near as I can tell.
So there is somewhat of a routine aspect.
Maybe you can answer these questions?
I wonder why they did not start with the open pit application and file the underground separately?
It seems to me that an open pit permit should be easier to get.
Is an open pit permit easier to get?
If that is the case, they would produce gold while waiting for the underground permit.
