What lenders need are tangible assets not intangible ones that currently have no revenue streams, rights etc.....hopefully one day those patents can be used as be used as collateral on debt financing but just not now. Further to my point TLT is having a rough time raising funds, do you really think that if they could just pitch their case to a financial institution they wouldn't have already done that? Cmon..........

It may be wise to patiently wait...I agree it would be difficult to get IP-based financing pre-BTD stage; however, post-BTD would bring this company one significant step closer to commercialization/revenue generation.  Such a step forward would certainly help open the eyes of an alternative lender or investment arm of a bank...imo.  This company's IP also uniquely differentiates itself from the rest of the market, which is eye candy to any potential lender who is looking for a unique value proposition....one lender in the North comes to mind in the name of BDC Capital, the investment division of Business Development Bank of Canada. They appear to understand the value of intangible assets & what potential these assets have for future market share.  I'd argue that such a non-dilutive financing post-BTD (if attainable) is not only a realistic path, but a preferable one.

A promising small biotech's value builds exponentially (vs incrementally) the closer it gets to an FDA approval/commercialization.  And having non-dilutive funds to also advance/clinically validate other indications would simply create additional exponential value before that eventual partnership or buyout.  Exercising financial patience with reasonable dilution along the way may be the prudent play...if I dare say.  JMO...
