RE:Hurricane Beryl sets off alarm bells

RE:Hurricane Beryl sets off alarm bellsDonwaan...

There is no doubt that climate events cause damage which has to be repaired.  This is not new news. Further, even if it is true that climate change is resulting in even more damage than has been the case historically, a sudden 'enlightenment" by the leaders of every country in the world will take decades to reverse the trend.

Soooooo....as an investor, I look at what is happening round the world whether it is climate, politics or technology and ask myself a couple of simple questions -

1...is this a good thing or bad thing for my current investment portfolio?

2...if it is either one of them, what am I going to do about it?

In this case my conclusion is that whether or not Climate Change is real, it will provide opportunities to make a lot a lot of money for companies that have solutions to Climate Change (if it exists) or solutions to the problems that politicians will cause trying to solve Climate Change.

As my wise Dad said to me as child - "Only worry about things that you can do something about".  I can't do anything about Climate Change.   But for sure I can find companies that will make money from it and invest in them.
