ALTA COPPER – LOCAL SUPPORT FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENTALTA COPPER – LOCAL SUPPORT FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT Copper is the critical metal required for electrification as it has the highest electrical conductivity rating of all non-precious metals. Copper is used to help power vehicles, electronics, homes, cities and countries; without electricity you are back in the Stone Age. Imagine not having a smartphone to order food, or Uber not having a vehicle to bring you your food, what about not having a computer to do all that AI stuff?
Electricity is essential and copper is the key to modern life. Copper is clearly fundamental to the modern age but underinvestment in new discoveries has caused a copper supply crisis. Finding a large, economical copper deposit is rare and once found, it can take a decade or more to develop. Alta Copper’s Canariaco project is one of the rare copper discoveries that is of significant size, economically viable and ready for development. Alta Copper recently completed an NI43-101 compliant Optimized Preliminary Assessment on their 100% owned Canariaco project which contains 16 billion pounds of copper.
Alta Copper submitted drill permit applications to the MINEM in December 2023 which are expected to be received by the company before the end of Q3-2024. Drilling will focus on expanding Canariaco Norte and Canariaco Sur with initial drilling on the porphyry target Quebrada Verde. A
