RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Q2/24USD is the currency used in Aviation.  All contracts and yes for Airbus (except internal to Euro zone) are done in USD.

USD greenback is more stable and since the early  days of avaition when America dominated Aviation, the  default became USD.  

Also Bombardier uses USD as they have more non Canadian suppliers and customers.  Imagine the headache of converting each sales contract from their local currency to Canadian and then converting it to another different currency to pay suppliers.

Embraer is listed in USA and reports in USD because unlike Canada, the Brazilian stock exchange is not as established and has less visibility then TSX.  And bombardier evolved from Canadian small company to multinational business so they continue to list on TSX.

I am still confused why bbd keeps the books in USD when they have no interest is being on wall street
