RE:RE:RE:What is truly amazing is how this pad is designedjbrown,

I have seen breachs, falls, niagra type intrusions have been in blast zones by operators quick on the trigger (it's hard to breath) lol.  This one is a new one on me though I have seen undermined earth structures (dams) and so forth...

I agree, for sure I am not a geotech expert or was in on the design of the HLP.  I am not aware of a second membrane (at every "lift"?) . If this is heap is different from a "normal" design, please forgive.

I do beleive there is the emiter grid stack at every level as it is built up with the leachate going  to the liner at the bottom.  Each "lift" grid emiter cannot be recoverd as it is buried by the latest layer.

Please take a peek at the link, this is how I understand a "normal" HLP to work.  Are you thinking something different in this case.  There are 2 components to the VG  "membrane" on the very bottom is this what you re referriing too?

Thank you.  By the way do rememembr a report that said the bottom most sensor were supposed to be tested but the consultant wanted to know how they could be review if the were burried?

I think, like you, that this HLP will be looked at in great detail by boots on the ground. I agree the geo's will look at it and I would place a bet the designers and P. eng (structural)  will also be called in.

Appreciate your thoughts.
