TODAY: 6.52m of 828g/t AgEq intersected at Aguilar Discovery Today, Outcrop Silver & Gold (OCG.v OCGSF) announced the interception of 6.52m of 828g of silver equivalent per tonne at the Aguilar Discovery, located 5km south of the existing Santa Ana resource along a 30km vein corridor.
Highlights:
- 6.52 meters of 828 g/t silver equivalent, including 0.63 meters at 6,943 g/t silver equivalent.
- 1.11 meters of 969 g/t silver equivalent, and 0.31 meters of 3,741 g/t silver equivalent.
- 1.63 meters of 717 g/t silver equivalent
- 1.04 meters of 1,218 g/t silver equivalent in the new Aguilar-HW vein.
Significantly, these results confirm the presence of a robust vein system at Aguilar, with multiple parallel veins and splays, and confirm high-grade silver continuity along dip, uncovering a new parallel blind vein, Aguilar-HW, which has the potential for more discoveries.
With two active drill rigs, the ongoing drill campaign aims to expand the current resource by testing the lateral and depth continuity of high-grade mineralization. In undertaking this step out, OCG is further aiming to quickly and effectively demonstrate Santa Ana's substantial expansion potential.
OCG's Guillermo Hernandez, VP of Exploration, commented:
"After confirming the existence of high grade further south with our current drilling campaign, we are excited with the recent holes that suggest more blind veins can be discovered. Aguilar is demonstrating a robust vein system with many parallel veins, including splays that carry encouraging results. These types of complex vein systems are showing great potential for our drill campaign."
The Santa Ana Project
As one of the highest grade silver projects globally, OCG's Santa Ana has impressive silver grades, with significant potential for further resource expansion through ongoing exploration.
Boasting approximately 37M ounces at a grade of 73% silver, Santa Ana has unique mineralogy allowing for a high 93% silver recovery by floatation making it economically viable even at today's silver price.
Significantly, this is a very rare project as it is very hard to find a comparable project that has an indicated silver resource as large as Santa Ana.
Given this drill program has identified significant intersections, including high-grade gold and silver assays, these results both reinforcing the exploration potential of the Aguilar and Aguilar-HW veins as well as amplify OCG's strategic exploration decisions as this vein was previously introduced as a promising new target.
