RE:RE:RE:RE:Interesting comment from todays briefing: agree 100% saddlerack, as a status report from the corporation regarding the embankment, HLP liner damage location, gold room, pumping station, etc would give shareholders a better indication of how far away they are from producing gold from the remaining pregnant solution still in the sump system following the slide. That gold didnt just evaporate into thin air. In fact it has likely increased due to continued natural leaching.
As far as the Yukon government, there is more to this story as there are some pretty snarky comments being made by the EMR Deputy Minister which will not improve communication channels.
Egos need to be set aside, and an actionable plan going forward needs to be the number one priority.
By all accounts there was one cyanide level above acceptable limits measured shotly after the slide, and nothing since by all the agencies involved. That is a good thing and a sign mitigation efforts are working.
Now the ponds are getting closer to maximum containment levels and that solution is being pumped back into the HLP which if need be can store millions of gallons based on its design.
More progress being made, so a chill pill might be needed by those making up tragic stories when they are not accurate or helpful to the cause.
