Oh the wonders of information transfers and tech stuff.
- Old days was 6 to 12 months one way by a 3 mast tall ship to deliver news or an order, then the same time to reply.
No hacks.
- On land the "pony express" was born in the USA 1860.
No hacks.
- In 1861 the "transcontinental telegraph" took over and the ponys could retire while morse code was used to relay info.
No hacks.
- Alexander Grahan Bell the first person to patent a practicle telephone 1885-ish.
Still no hacks. But wire taps came in much later.
- Ticker Tape took off surprisingly much earlier as far as the tech goes in history.
