New Visible Mineralization & Drill Targets at Sun Dog Yesterday, Aero Energy's (AERO.v AAUGF) announced new visible mineralization at surface and pinpointed drill target areas at the Sun Dog Project near Uranium City, Saskatchewan, where AERO is set to commence a drilling program imminently
New Discoveries and Exploration Confirmation
- Visible Mineralization: New visible mineralization with strong radioactivity found at surface on the northern margin of the Athabasca Basin in Saskatchewan.
- Additional Drill Targets: New drill targets identified at the project
- Wishbone Target: Recent trenching revealed new and historic uranium mineralization with radioactivity up to 22,300 cps.
- McNie Target Area: Over 4 km of untested VTEMTM conductors identified, with known uranium showings nearby.
- Spring Dome Target Area: New and historic zones of strong radioactivity >65,535 cps discovered, with numerous high-grade uranium assays from outcrop samples.
Sun Dog Project Overview
- Location: 48,443 acres in nine mining claims, 15 km from Uranium City.
- Historical Significance: Home to the historic Gunnar uranium mine, a major producer in the mid-20th century.
- Historical Production: The Gunnar mine produced about 18 million pounds of U3O8 from 1953 to 1981.
Upcoming Drill Campaign
- Start Date: Drilling to commence on July 21.
- Scope: Approximately 1,000 to 1,200 meters in five to seven drill holes.
- Focus: Testing high-priority targets for high-grade, unconformity-hosted uranium mineralization in basement along structural and conductive corridors.
- Funding and Operation: Fully funded program operated by Standard Uranium Ltd.
Murmac Project
- Progress: Drilling is ongoing with a joint progress update expected soon.
- Recent Discovery: Strong radioactivity found in graphitic pelite in drill hole M24-017, confirming the exploration thesis.
AERO CEO, Galen McNamara, commented: "Our recent discovery of strong radioactivity in the right host rocks known as graphitic pelite in hole M24-017 on the adjacent Murmac Property with partner Fortune Bay Corp proves that our exploration thesis in the area is correct. This in turn unlocks a new search space spanning over 30 km along which there are extensive and untested bodies of these graphitic pelite trap rocks known to host significant high-grade uranium deposits like Arrow and Triple R around the Athabasca Basin. These areas now represent very high priority drill targets and we look forward to testing them."
Planning to complete approximately 40 drill holes this season, AERO is likely on track for a range of catalysts, ensuring continuous news flow.
