I was in and out of VG a few times a couple years ago, but saw the slide news and popped back to see what was happening with the Eagle.
It is heartbreaking to see all the longs here who took a big loss with the slide news, and just as disgusting to see all the trolls who showed up who seem to get some sort of cheap thrill out of others misery. There is a special place in HEII for them and I hope Karma is swift
I still believe there is a chance here, but the agency white hats have to stop wagging their jaws, roll up their sleeves, and get to work with an overall plan for a successful outcome for all involved including shareholders
I have no doubt this accident site can be safely remediated with lessons learned, but its the big head factor that usually halts meaningful progress in stories like this one.
I sold out my VG stock at $1.07 so I'm not in it any more. But I come on this board to revisit the scene of the crime so to speak and talk to some of the people. Me too my heart goes put to those with huge losses. I only lost about $7k on this one so not that big a pain. But I've lost tens of thousands on other mines like AR , ALEXCO, GO, WALLBRIDGE and so on as per my post last week
I'm an investor not a trader but at times I trade when I see minimal downside.
If this is your first big loss it can be a catastrophe and crush your faith in investing. But don't give up. There are a lot of opportunities out there. I recently doubled my money on Artg and made $10k. I never know which eats at me more....loosing when a company goes bankrupt, or loosing because I should have dumped 10 times more of a play like Artg and made some real money.
Also, strange to say it but loosing on multiple occasions gives you a tough skin and after a while you are not as crushed by it and are ready to move on. I lost about $75 k during the COVID oil panic. Stupid me I wasn't quick on the draw to buy HOD.
anyway, good luck, keep the faith in what you are doing. Everything is a learning experience.
As the great investor Howard Marks once said......Experience is what you get when you didnt get what you wanted.
