RE:New feature article on Tocvan Ventures!

RE:New feature article on Tocvan Ventures! This is a great review by Peter Epstein, even though he isn't a shareholder. He has 3,998 followers on Twitter which represents a large base of investors who see his posts. This is a good detailed review of past drilling, as well as a discussion as to how large the resource might be in just the Main Zone of Pilar. He also hints at the significant upside potential, as the larger recently consolidated Pilar has never seen detailed drilling.

As Peter said, " Tocvan has consolidated a highly prospective land position at its 100%-owned, 2,278-hectare, Pilar Au-Ag project covering 21 sq. km of prospective area + 51% of a 1 sq. km parcel.".

The overall parcel of land owned by Tocvan is very large and "Simply put, the BLUE-SKY potential at Pilar is quite spectacular. As drill results are released, there are both strong hits and lower-grade material finds. However, every single hole delivers critical info to build out the resource model. Even though low-grade at times, virtually every hole has hit something."

The Press Release earlier this week didn't have many high grades assays, but it is important to note there was mineralization in every hole, suggesting Pilar is a very large and robust system. I am repeating Brodies Sutherland's comments below as it is important to understand that we are just scratching the surface and more drilling is required to tie everything together. But I will add, the Main Zone in Pilar is likely sufficient to warrant the start of production.

“Drill results continue to show the broad scale of mineralization at Pilar as we push out the edges of the known deposit. Infill drilling looks to connect each of the three known trends, and results tell us that mineralization does connect. Most of the area has never seen detailed drilling, so to see mineralization & alteration in all holes showcases the robust system we have.

We are also seeing areas with elevated base metals, indicating multiple phases of Au & Ag deposition, an excellent advantage when expanding & exploring across the greater Pilar area. We have drilled just 2% of the total property, and surface sampling shows much bigger targets. A major producer continues to show a keen interest in the area. Results support the case that we’re just scratching the surface at Pilar.

I am very excited to see the maiden resource estimate (MRE) later this year, since it will be just the tip of the iceberg as the MRE will be based on just 2-3% of the entire land owned by Tocvan. Some have suggested this small portion of Pilar might contain upwards of 500,000 oz of gold, or perhaps even significantly more.

Another important aspect Peter discussed related to which Major has been conducting due diligence. He didn't say which Major it was but went on to say,

"Although CEO Sutherland won’t reveal who the large company is that’s been active around Pilar, it’s probably; Industrias Peoles, Grupo Mxico, Newmont, Agnico Eagle, Fresnilo, Pan American Silver, or Alamos Gold (who recently acquired Argonaut). Coeur Mining, Torex Gold, First Majestic & Sivercrest Metals are four smaller companies operating in Mexico".

He went on further to state, "I believe that Tocvan’s management team is currently, or has been, in touch with many (if not most) of those companies. The longer Tocvan can hold out before striking a deal with a strategic partner, the better the transaction terms will be."

Tocvan traded only 15,000 shares on Friday, with 14,500 being sold by Anonymous. What I find amazing yet again this week, Anonymous sold 247,000 shares of the 292,000 shares that traded all week. I constantly ask myself the question, where does all the stock come from that is sold through Anonymous?

So, I asked my trading contacts when they place a sell or buy order through their brokerage, such as RBC, Canaccord, BMO, among others, did any of those brokerages ever use Anonymous? The answer was a resounding - NO. There wasn't one person.  Much like my trades, they are always posted using my brokerage's name and never Anonymous.

The reason I keep mentioning Anonymous is don't be fooled by the stock manipulation that occurs with thinly traded junior securities. They have an agenda, either to sell or buy large positions for unidentified investors or to create the illusion of doubt by scaring people into selling. One thing is certain though, the stock that is sold moves into stronger and stronger hands, resulting in consolidation of the share price. At some point, the selling through Anonymous will slow to a trickle, allowing the share price to appreciate when investors see progress is being made through drilling, towards production, financing, or being acquired by a Major.

It is already July 20, the quiet trading days of summer are moving along quickly. I suspect the summer Olympics this year will divert the attention of investors over the next few weeks, they will certainly have my full attention during the day.

My dad loved the Olympics and proudly took us to Montreal during the 1976 Olympics. It was certainly the best staycation I've ever had.
