The end of the day does. If a gm car malfunctions and kills someone due to faulty steering, it's gm that gets sued not the company that made the steering parts. There was a landmark case in the US on exactly that. GM got sued. The CEO of GM argued in court that they don't make the car they just put together the parts supplied by other experts. The court didn't buy it and told GM you are the car maker. Pay up.
If someone's gonna get sued for environmental damage it's gonna be VG. Then they can try to sue engineers or whoever they want to recover thier penalties but no one can predict the outcome and we could be looking at 10 years for this to go thru the courts.
You can't just tell the government or the environment ministry or whoever.......it wasn't us. It was that engineering guy over there. Go get em. Don't work that way
