Kraken Robotics took part in the HII Unmanned Systems REMUS UUV User Group Meeting in Portsmouth, UK, 17-18 July 2024. Our team, represented by Dan Sweeney and Roland Leyte, had the privilege of presenting the Man-Portable Synthetic Aperture Sonar (MP-SAS) to REMUS users, observers, and industry representatives.

This gathering brought together national representatives alongside industry partners, focusing on the technical development, trials, and operations of the REMUS series of Uncrewed Underwater Vehicles (UUVs). We also discussed Kraken's recent integrations and operations with NATO partners.

Our MP-SAS delivers high resolution synthetic aperture sonar with a range up to 118 meters per side. With real-time processing of 3 cm x 3 cm resolution across track (and up to 2 cm x 2 cm with post-processing), MP-SAS provides some of the highest resolution imagery you can get from a UUV, which is of critical importance to high-stakes applications like mine countermeasures.
