RE:RE:What do we know for a fact? You fail to understand that Ucore has separated heavy rare earths and produced Dysprosium to 98.5% and Terbium. This is a FIRST in North America. They have demonstrated at commercial scale this ability.
No other company can claim that they have done this nor have the imminent ability to separate heavy rare earths. Neither Lynas nor Energy Fuels has this ability currently, just light rare earths and by conventional solvent extraction. We need a supplier of heavy rare earths in North America to build a supply chain from ore to magnets. There is a lot of geopolitical will to get this up and running. The DOD understands this and will likely throw a lot of money at Ucore to get the Lousianna plant up and running and quickly. The DOD has committed $100 million to start a magnet factory. Where do you think the magnet factory raw materials (heavy rare earths) supply will come from? Ucore is the only current solution. I think that we will hear a lot of news in this arena in the next few months.
I agree with Dragon on this.
