Good point about the VRN debt but at the same time the VRN dividend is lower thus allowing for more NCIB and faster debt pay downs. Both companies are making some fine profits even at today's crude prices. If the interest rates continue coming down that should also provide more stimulus for the economy to grow and with it increase consumption of oil related products and likely crude prices as well. Time will tell.
