RE:Let's try an experiment, Clues Pip missed, Looking at LA"It would not surprise me at all, if DOD asked Ucore not to report or to underplay how far they have got with separation of the DOD sample" Talk about loony tune rationalizing.

"
So far the only company that is separating heavies is Ucore". As far as I know, no one outside China is separating heavies at commercial scale. We don't even know that Ucore has separated a single kg of Dy or Tb, let alone at commercial scale.

The separation Ucore reported on was separating La to Dy as a group, from the rare earths heavier than Dy. That is not separation into individual oxides. Presumably, that's a future step for which no results have been reported.
