heartbreaking.  You buy an overpriced illiquid asset that's expensive to maintain in a frothy market...... 

It sucks for the individuals concerned, but a correction is good for millennials and genZ who are frozen out of the property ladder without the bank of mom and dad.

My real estate exposure apart from primary residence is all REITs in different sectors.
