Okay fine, admittedly if (and it's a big BIG "IF") Nano and Tesla have been working together all these years in secret and Tesla is Nano's secret partner (I have my strong STRONG doubts), then this recent news of the Tesla dry electrodes in the new 4680 batteries would be very VERY significant for Nano One.
It would mean Nano and Tesla have finally worked out how to make the dry positive electrodes (i.e., the dry cathode) work at manufacturing scale. This would be an absolute game changing event for Nano One and the Canadian battery technology sector. It would be historic news.
And if you really want to believe this narrative, here is some food for thought:
"Insiders said that among the materials suppliers for the 4680 batteries produced by Tesla in the United States, there are hardly any Chinese companies left....
The 4680 battery is the core of Tesla's next generation product competitiveness, and dry positive electrodes are the core of the 4680. Since it's inception, Tesla has spent 5 years on this project"
Source: LatePost, Author: Li Zinan. "Tesla sprint for the 4680 battery complete body, the final bet of 5 years".
So there you have it. This is Tesla's finished 4680 product. And it will be in production by end of 2024.
Therefore, if you truly believe that Nano has been working with Tesla on this for the past 5 years, then we will with certainty hear about this partnership at our upcoming "Special" Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on August 1, 2024. Recall that Nano has never ever in their history called an AGM a "Special" meeting.
So we will either be told Tesla is the secret partner on August 1, or else it will confirm that Nano has had no part in Tesla developing this dry positive electrode that will be core to their 4680 batteries and their future success.
A LOT is now riding on this August 1st AGM. More so than even I had imagined.
Personally, to me this narrative sounds way way way way way too good to be true. And therefore I choose NOT to suspend my disbelief.
I hope for all our sake that @contrap127 and GTNano are correct about this narrative being true. If so, it would truly be a red letter day indeed.
good luck to all the longs.
