HPQ Silicon Inc V.HPQ

Alternate Symbol(s):  HPQFF

HPQ Silicon Inc. (HPQ) is a Canada-based technology company specializing in green engineering of silica and silicon-based materials. The Company is engaged in developing, with the support of technology partners PyroGenesis Canada Inc. (PyroGenesis) and Novacium SAS, new green processes to make the critical materials needed to reach net zero emissions. Its activities are centered around the three pillars: becoming a green low-cost (Capex and Opex) manufacturer of Fumed Silica using the Fumed Silica Reactor, a proprietary technology owned by HPQ being developed for HPQ by PyroGenesis; becoming a producer of silicon-based anode materials for battery applications with the assistance of Novacium SAS, and Novacium SAS is engaged in developing a low carbon, chemical base on demand and high-pressure autonomous hydrogen production system. The Company operates in a single operating segment, segment, being the sector of the transformation of quartz into silicon materials and derivative products.

GEN4 partial optimization

GEN4 partial optimization

In the news release it says « The final bar on the graph shows Novacium’s projection of potentially exceeding the 4,300 mAh mark with a blend of graphite and GEN4 partially optimized advanced silicon-based material. »

And at the end of the NR it links to NanoGraph NR in which it says « Our materials continue to exceed customer expectations, as we march towards our goal of a 4.3Ah 18650 cell, a project we have undertaken on behalf of the U.S. Department of Defense,” said Dr. Francis Wang, CEO of NanoGraf. “The 4.3Ah NanoGraf-branded cell will be the world’s most energy-dense 18650 cell and illustrates our commitment to meeting the energy and power demands of our customers. »

Obvioulsy the decision to do a partial optimization for GEN4 is not random. HPQ / Novacium are using as a waypoint, what others are using as a destination.
