RE:RE:Air Canada Number 1 - For percent of float short Note that the contract between AC and the IAM does not expire until January 8,2026.  They are the other union that can shut the airline down if they go on strike.  
The labor focus is on AC mgmt vs the pilots for the foreseeable future.  This could already be holding back bookings for Q3 and Q4.  Summer peak still runs for 5 or 6 more weeks.  I believe that it will take that long for pilots to manoever into a legal strike position. 
I think the government will be much more thorough (than with Westjet versus its mechanics) if they mandate AC pilots to keep working and send them to levels in the process up to mandatory arbitration of the contract.
