Power Generation at Scale

Power Generation at ScaleMike Crawley's Linkedin post."A lot of renewable energy capacity has been built out over the last 20 years but it has been largely about displacing carbon intensive generation on grids that were otherwise seeing little growth in demand. With sharp demand growth forecasts going forward, the next 20 years is looking to be much more about building out a large volume of power supply to enable an increasingly digitized economy, critical mineral extraction, supply chain security and broader industrial development. Across countries and sub-national jurisdictions there will be winners and losers. The governor of the pace of economic growth in any jurisdiction may very well be their ability to efficiently secure power generation at scale. What will be the right approach to system planning? What capital pools will be required? How can the requisite talent be secured and developed? Can the supply chain ramp up?"
