RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:New Press Release - Nickel Creek Platinum Announces Results of 2024 Annual General and Special MeetingRemember that 3 investment funds own about half the stock outstanding. Two things to keep in mind here: all investors, for the most part, have a paper loss on their current holdings & the major investors aren't here to lose money. They have patience and will see this through to the end.
The palladium play you got dutched on appears to have been a cash buyout prior to investors recovering their basis. Granted, there is the possibility that all the major investors conpsire to take a loss via a recapitalization scheme in order to oust the retail investors, however, they would need many more shares to have an overwhelming % ownership to entertain such thoughts. This would also imply that they have a buyout lined up on the side, which if that is the case, it would just make sense to negotiate the best terms possible to sell the project and move on.
I'm not saying that games never get played, but in our case the capital structure is still fairly balanced between individual institutions and retail. Worst case scenario is that we get bought out early around a few cents and many of us will be in the vicinity of break even. The only ones who will really get the shaft are those who were loading up over 10 years ago and have a basis anywhere near a dollar per share. My advice to those individuals is to double-down and "heal your basis" whilst we are bumping along the bottom.
